jugando con proporciones / playing with proportions

Me encanta crear piezas utilitarias (y joyas) porque la idea de hacer una pieza para alguien me motiva. Me gusta la conexion que se crea entre la pieza y yo; entre la pieza y su dueño. Por esto lo hecho a mano es tan especial - en la mayoria de los casos las piezas son únicas, y especiales para uno mismo.

 Soy adicta al té y disfruto de una buena taza (del té y de la taza misma!). .

 Estoy trabajando una forma y jugando con su proporción, lo que me divierte mucho. Empece con una taza de cortado, la aumenté a taza de té (en el horno - este finde veréis el resultado) y ahora he hecho esta preciosidad de taza de expresso para un encargo de una amiga (gracias Anna!). I love creating functional ware (and Jewellery) because I love the idea of making a piece which will be used by someone else. I like the connection between the piece and me; the piece and the owner. And handcrafting make it even more special, as most of the cases, all ends up being one of a kind – so, special, to oneself.

I tea drinker, all day long!,  so I enjoy a good mug. I got to a form I enjoy doing and now I am playing with proportions. I got an order from a friend (thank you Anna!) for few coffee mugs so I reduced the size and it resulted in this sweet expresso cup! I will have some of those at Sould Made BCN fair, November 15.

Right now I have few tea cups in the kiln. Shall show you the results this weekend!
